This pattern is designed for use with 3-4 skeins of our Resilient Sock Yarn in colorway: Scarlet. Choose any color you like, though. If you get gauge, you'll use virtually all 3 skeins. If you knit loosely, you'll want to get 4 skeins just to be safe. You'll need US Size 4 (3.50 mm) 40" circular needles and US 10 (6.00 mm) circular needles if using the continuous i-cord edging.
Why You'll Adore This Amazing Shawl:
•A unique and lovely i-cord edging is just one highlight of this shawl, which was created as an ode to autumn.
•The center panel's "Cascading Leaves" pattern is varied enough to hold the interest of a more experienced knitter, but features an easy to work 15-stitch repeated pattern worked over 20 rows.
•The solid side panels will keep you warm and cozy and make this shawl a perfect wrap for the crisp autumn evenings.
•Advanced level for the experienced knitter.
•A great way to use sock yarn or any of your favorite fingering weight yarn.
•Charted and written instructions included.

This pattern is intricate--don't be deceived. However, as always, the directions are well-thought out. I am currently working on it for a gift and it is gorgeous!

I love intricate patterns. This is not the most difficult I've done, but I'm in love already. Just finished my second skein, going on the 3rd. Can't wait to use it!

I really like the pattern and size of this shawl. To me it screams CLASSIC. Something that I will have in my claoset and go to often. It is a piece that will enhance anything you wear with it.

I had some yarn that I purchased in Alaska this summer and had been looking for the perfect pattern with just the right amount of design in it so it would show off the yarn.
This pattern was perfect.
Easy to read, which isn't always the case.
I live in Arizona so the shawl will be worn all year long.

While I have not started knitting this shawl, I am anxious to do so. Right now I am test knitting a shawl for another designer, but I will start on Autumn Cascade soon.

I currently have this shawl on my knitting needles and I am loving the look of it. You really have to pay attention on the back side because it's not all purl stitches but that's OK because I know the finished piece will be totally worth it. Thank you for a beautiful knit pattern! Keep them coming.

I just stare at the pattern and then the pictures, and I know that this is going to be one beautiful shawl when I am done with it! I am doing it in purple sock yarn that appears to change colors depending on how the light shines on the yarn. It is a handpainted yarn that I had in my stash, and I just love the way it is knitting up. Sorry that I didn't use the Expression Fiber Arts yarn suggested. I am on a yarn diet and using the yarn in my stash if I have it to do my projects. This pattern is beautiful though. I can't wait to see how it looks when it is finished!
