Description

In exchange for this pattern being free, please share the URL on your favorite social media site and/or blog. Thanks in advance!

This pattern is designed for use with 1 skein of our Alpaca Silk Dk yarn. Shown in colorway: Pewter. Choose any colorway you like, though.

SIZE : Approximately 5" in height from brim to crown, and 14" circumference at base of body, blocked and unstretched. Will stretch to fit a variety of baby heads and instructions are provided for altering the size.

NEEDLES: US Size 5 (3.75 mm) 12" circular needles and/or DPNs.

Notes From the Designer:

•A baby hat makes a great quick gift for a newborn or soon-to-be newborn! Knit in an alpaca/silk blend, this hat negates any potential wool allergies and still keeps baby's head warm and snug.
•A simple textured pattern adds interest and won't compete with your color choice. Stick with a neutral or solid color, or go wild with a bright variegate!
•Pattern is sized for newborns and small infants, but includes instructions for modifying the circumference to fit a range of heads. You could easily turn this into an adult-sized hat so you and baby can play matchy-matchy!
•Yarn is held double throughout for added warmth.
