Rose Water 'YAK SILK' LACE

$39.00

ROSE WATER - this is a mix of softest pink and hints of vanilla

YARN - Yak-Silk (a 50, 50 blend)

-Buttery.

-Creamy to the touch.

-Ultra-soft, like perfect baby's skin.

-Like a dream!

-Shimmery

Properties of Yak:

This is yak down, the softest of yak fibers.

-Warm: It has incredible insulating properties, which allow the animals to survive at extreme temperatures.

-Soft: Incredibly soft... buttery is truly the word that comes to mind! Your fingers will thank you as you work with this!

-Strong: Surprisingly strong (stronger than wool), for durable, long-wearing projects.

-Breathable: Do you ever feel sticky in synthetic fibers? Not so with yak... it breathes! It wicks moisture away from your body and releases it into the air, thus allowing you to feel fresher (and smell better!).

-Anti-Microbial: It doesn't attract the little microbes that live on sweat, so your garment stays fresher longer and won't get all stinky. Yay!

Properties of Silk:

-Excellent Insulator: Amazingly, it keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter (due to the fact that it doesn't conduct heat)

-Luster: Hello! Shine galore!

-Strength: Long-wearing, durable projects, baby!

-Vivid: Silk takes the dye like crazy... so the colors are rich and bold and saturated.

When yak is combined with silk, you get an amazing, SOFT, lustrous, luxurious, creamy, rich, vibrant yarn that is hard to ignore.

Projects made with this are sure to be adored and exclaimed over and kept for years on end. Do enjoy!

•Softly spun 2-ply lace weight (this is a wee bit thicker than some lace weights, so it's easier to work with, if you're a beginner. Yay!)
•Yardage: 630 m / 680 yd
•Weight: 95-100 g
•Recommended Knitting Needle Size: US 1-3
•Crochet Hook Size: B-D

Note: Each skein is a hand-created, unique work of art and no two skeins will be identical, even within the same dye lot. If working with more than one skein in a project, it is best to alternate skeins every other row. Despite every effort to accurately depict our product colors, actual shades may vary due to differences in monitor settings.

Yak Silk Lace
5 Stars

I love this Yak-silk combination. Wonderfully soft, gently glides on the needle. So glad to have gotten this.

Really lovely
5 Stars

This yarn is lovely in all respects. The color is even lovelier than pictured. The softness of the yarn and quality of it is just wonderful. Really great stuff!

Incredible
5 Stars

I am rather new to luxury fibers, and this is my first time using either silk or yak. This blend is just incredible. My rough dry winter skin (from knitting at my kids' bus stop!) does not even catch on the fine yet strong fibers of this yarn. The rose water colorway is amazing and features creamy whites and soft baby rose pink. I would definitely order Yak Silk Lace again.

The Best
5 Stars

I have been a faithful EFA customer for a few years now, and I can tell you the Rose Water in Lace is by far my favorite color way and base. I had promised myself the Rose Water purchase whenever Chandi offered it again...and, when it came out in lace weight....well that was the icing on the cake. Absolutely lovely.
