TWEED Recycled Sari Silk - this is different from our other Sari Silk in that this is machine-spun. This produces a more even, consistent look and a significantly softer feel.

During the sari production process in India, bits of silk fiber are left on the equipment. These are gathered and spun into the yarn you see pictured. It's a wonderful idea for salvaging what would normally have been thrown away. It helps the earth and the economy and you get gorgeous yarn. Win win win!
