This is an adorable market tote to take to the farmer’s market and shop for those veggies and fruits in stylllle.
It’s designed to be used with these three colors dyed onto our Pearlescent Superwash Merino Silk Worsted Weight Yarn: Nautical, Sand Dune, Whipped Cream. One skein each - 4 oz/220 yards each. As our colors come and go, if those aren't in stock when you click over, any worsted weight yarn will do. You'll need a size G (4.00mm) hook.
What Makes This Bag So Fun
•Well, first of all, it looks cool. The stitch pattern is unique (invented while I was whiling away time in a laundromat) and looks gorgeous with 3 different colors of yarn OR with one. You choose.
•It resembles the beach. Oh, yessss. It looks like waves and shells so you’ll always feel as if you’re strolling freely down a beach or boardwalk, even if you’re just in your local grocery store.
•The size is adjustable. You can make your bag bigger or smaller, depending on the size you need.
•Pictures! To help keep you crocheting happily along, I include large, instructional pictures of the process so you can keep a tab on what your bag should be looking like as you go along.
•It’s a 6-row repeat so nothing crazy.
•Intermediate pattern, but so great to try if you’ve mastered the basics, made a few pot holders and scarves and are ready for something a bit more interesting.
•Uses worsted weight yarn! This is the most popular thickness of yarn and can be found just about anywhere that yarn is sold. It’s quick and easy to work with.
•If you want, line it with fabric and use it as a purse!
•Or use the stitch pattern and make an endless number of different items, like scarves, cowls, a blanket, wrist warmers and more.

I am so excited to make this! I thought I would try it with the beaded silk I got on sale. It of course won't look exactly like waves and shells but I am excited to learn some new stitches and I think the addition of the beads will be gorgeous! Thanks for the awesome pattern!

Thank you for creating such a beautiful market bag. The pattern is quite easy to follow, and each one will grow into an item of beauty at all of the market places!!
More importantly, thank you for your kind donation towards the health of our most fragile citizens...our children. St. Judes Hospital will benefit and appreciate each dollar donated through the sale of your pattern. So kind of you to go above and beyond....yet, again!!
