This pattern is designed for use with 1 skein of our Superwash Merino Silk Pearlescent Fingering Weight yarn in colorway: Serendipitous. Choose any color you like, though. You'll need a US Size G hook (4.00 mm). It uses the full skein. If you're worried about running out of yarn or want to make it wider or longer, get 2 skeins.
A beautiful sampling of stitches that’ll keep your mind alert and your fingers happily dancing!
This scarf is designed to dance and flow and move as you wear it!
•Various stitches prevent boredom.
•A soft and shimmery drape for easy wearing and a light feel. Great for warmer temps when you feel like a pop of color without a lot of bulk.
•Intermediate level.
•Size is adjustable! No worries about running out of yarn too soon.
•Keep it simple and work only one of the stitch sections if you prefer. Whatever makes your heart sing.

Whifle Scarf
I loved the varied stitches in this pattern, but I agree with the reviewer who said there seem to be stitches missing when transitioning -- especially from the close work section #3 to the more open section #4. I got 3/4 of the way through the entire scarf, and decided that the amount of blocking that would be needed would be very radical and too risky. I ripped it all out (and I was using the fuzzy Alpaca Lace -- it does NOT frog well!) I decided to make the entire scarf out of the second lacy pattern -- the one with the alternating rows of shells and v-stitches and it is very pretty. I wanted to like the pattern as is, and was tempted to rework the stitch layout in the fourth section, but didn't want to do any more experimenting with this beautiful lacy yarn.

It's very interesting as an "advanced" (is there ever a level in crochet?) because it's really easy to follow but doesn't lack of interest at all. And I will try it again but more with... Could be a nice shawl!

Crochet Whiffle Scarf
The pattern is very interesting, especially with the various stitches. I've never crocheted a scarf in 2 pieces and stitched the pieces together, so it will be interesting. Thank you.

I love this shawl. It was fun to work on until I got to the 2dctog, that was crazy. Who thinks of these stiches? I got my smart crochet friend to help and she got it wrong. I finally watched the video. It came out beautiful.

I love the Free Friday pattern offers. I have a skein of the June yarn that I am going to use to make this! I can't wait! The pattern looks pretty easy and straightforward!
Great warm weather project
Pattern is easy to follow, just takes a little patience to get started.
Easy to follow
Instructions are well written and easy to follow. Thank you to the designer.
Whiffle Scarf pattern
First section was really easy and then the second section seemed to have problems. I felt there were some stitches missing in the instruction at the end of the row. I tried and tried and then decided to go with section one for the whole scarf. I am going to try again and see if I was just to rattled with kids to make it work. :) I love all the yarn I have purchase and am now addicted to this yarn.
Stunning project!
I can't wait to get started on this beautiful scarf. It's seems very straight forward to make and I have the perfect yarn from Chandi to make it with.
Great Pattern.
