We value people first and run our company based on trust and mutual respect.

We love having fun, creating new ideas for the future, and enjoy collaboration.

You will dye, dry, tag and skein yarn on an as-needed basis.  This is a part-time position and number of skeins dyed per week is not guaranteed. We pay per skein dyed and pay depends on method. You will need space in your home for pre-soaking the yarn, a location for hot plates (or a stove) for kettle dyeing, space for sprinkle dyeing (a heated garage is ideal), and a space for drying the yarn on racks. They must be drip-dried first so keep this in mind.

You must be able to lift at least 30 lbs and possibly more.

You don’t need any dyeing or yarn experience - we will train you in our methods. The main traits we need are reliability, clear communication and a keen eye for details/high quality.

You'll love this position if you thrive on repetition and problem solving. Production yarn dyeing can be truly joyous but also very challenging. You’ll need to repeat processes precisely time and time again, without altering instructions. If the thought of this LIGHTS YOU UP, this may be the job for you.

Our customers deserve the BEST yarn and we’re here to create and deliver that!

If you feel this describes you to a T,  please send your information to contact (at) expression fiber arts (dot) com, attaching your resume or cover letter if applicable. The more information you provide, the better. Tell us about yourself!

Or message us here if you have further questions.

We are excited to hear from you!

We are looking for someone to start immediately.

All dyers go through a training and testing phase, so please only reach out if you feel you are perfectly suited to the position and can start at any time.

You must be in the Charlotte area and preferably close to our studio on Monroe Rd and have reliable transportation.
