Notes from the Designer:

This accessory set was inspired by the ornamental plant species allium giganteum. Its blossom is made up of clusters of many small bulbs that are arranged in a sphere and contribute to its striking appearance. This characteristic is picked up and repeated throughout all the pieces of the set, which includes a cowl, headband, and matching fingerless gloves.

The flower motif features a long stem with leaves that are highlighted by eyelet lace on reverse stockinette. The allium blossom is mimicked by evenly arranged cables completed with bobbles. All items are finished with a bottom and top border that imitates flower petals. Worked in Enduring Worsted, this set will not only keep you warm on cold winter nights, but also works up quickly for a fun and diverse project.

I am currently working on another project, but can't wait to make this pattern. A new challenge is always exciting.

Well my dear friends, it will be another EFA Christmas! Last year was exquisite and beautiful shawls for family. this year will be cowls: Chocolate Diamond (already made several times), Jeanne Brioche Cowl, and now Allium! I can not wait! I always use EFA yarn because everything turns out perfect! Another Merry Christmas on the horizon!
