Notes From the Designer:
•Here in the early mornings, I look west, and watch the sunrise dance upon the peaks of the Snowy Range in the Medicine Bow Mountains. It’s this view and the colorful alpenglow that inspired the Alpenbow Shawl––a half-circle pi shawl that features a radiating design reminiscent of the light of dawn striking the high peaks and tumbling down through the cloud cover below.
•The Alpenbow Shawl is knitted flat using six colors of fingering weight yarn. You’ll begin with a garter tab cast-on, and then knit back and forth through seven sections. With each section, you’ll double the number of stitches, and double the number of rows, give or take a few rows. A combination of knit and purl stitches, yarn overs, slipped stitches, and other easy stitch combinations, as well as stranded color work, is used to knit this delightful, draping shawl.

Beautiful! So feminine and girly, yet understated!
I have not made it yet but read through it all and it sounds like a real great knit, can't wait to do it, have to finish two sewing projects first.
Looking forward to getting this on my needles!!!

Looking forward to this project this winter.
This is the pattern I have been waiting for. I cannot wait until I get a chance to start it. Love it. Easy to follow instructions.
This is the type of pattern I have been looking for. Cannot wait until I get to sit down and start it.
This pattern is working up beautifully, though not for the faint of heart . The three color intarsia rows are killer with keeping the yarn untangled. Luckily there aren't a lot of them, just daunting on the rows that have 500+ stitches - at least for me!
I love the delicate stitches. The color yarn is amazing!
Love it. Easy to follow the pattern.
Harder than I thought but I crochet. I learned a LOT! Love Chandi’s yarn!
A Little Harder Than I Thought, but I am a crocheter. Good directions and the yarn is amazing!
Such a wonderful pattern!
Beautiful pattern. The yarn colors and the stitches complement each other.
This is a wonderful shawl. The pattern is simple which brings the colors out! It is a shawl you could wear anywhere.
This is a wonderful shawl for cool weather! The pattern and yarn color are perfect.
So many wonderful patterns, I can't get to them all but am trying.
About halfway through shawl. Love the pattern but having difficulty keeping the kfbl stitches from being too tight
I love your patterns and will continue to print them out. One of these days I will make one but in the mean time, please keep them coming.
This pattern is so easy to follow, I think a beginner could manage it. It makes a very comfy and attractive shawl that is easy to wear. Will be using this pattern many times in future...Thank you!!!
