Beginner- This pattern is for those knitters who are ready to try simple lace knitting. Skills/concepts include increases, decreases and yarn overs.
Notes From the Designer:
•Like an ever-changing river, this asymmetric triangular shawl flows from deepest greens to palest blues and includes smooth, calm spaces and also rippling waves along the edge.
•This pattern uses three colors, but never more than one color at a time. Color changes occur only at the beginning of some right side rows; carry the unused color up the edge with a simple twist.
•Knit from the narrowest tip, each right side row begins with a simple increase to create the shawl’s shape and is then knit across. The garter stitch body has a simple eyelet lace edging to keep things interesting while still being easy enough to knit while chatting or watching your favorite show. An eyelet lace border that echoes the knit-as-you-go edging completes the final border.

If anything in order to learn how to make this beautiful shawl, why purchase to learn? Well, I have decided-'Okay, I will go ahead and buy it.' Looking at the video, the shawl looks easy to make, especially on the little 'stairstep' or 'teeth', the ones where you bind off 4 times, I get that. But on the lace border part that I saw in the video, it wasn't explained clearly to me as to when do I start working on that part. Most of the videos that I've seen, were easy, and I didn't have to purchase them. But this one that I seen, you had to go to the website for the pattern, and when I did, I didn't see the pattern, as with all others, as usual, so I had to purchase this to learn how to do it Even though $5.00 may not have seem much, I went ahead and ordered it to learn to find this pattern which wasn't there in the first place, which I find a little subtle, yet still somewhat easy, yet a beautiful shawl.
I have just started this shawl - I am making it for a friend who is going through a difficult illness. The pattern is very simple with beautiful results I hope - I'm looking forward to seeing how my colour choices knit up
This is a very unique pattern. Can't wait to try it.
I am not strong in lacework, this is great. it's simple but elegant.
It's a great pattern, so easy to set up, I am not strong in lacework and this is just perfect. I will make more than one
I'm waiting for my yarn to be delivered so thought I should practice this pattern. I did my set up to bring my sts up to 22. Then I started to make my lace edging and finished doing row 12. The next instruction is with color A, rep rows 1-12 five times for a total of 6 lace points. Hmmm I did row 1 of lace edging again and found I didn't have enough sts to do row 2. What am I doing wrong? Can someone help me please as I am new at this.
This is a great pattern! Simple yet elegant. Was able to use stash to create an original piece.
I am a beginner, not really advanced but I picked up on knitting quickly. The instructions were easy to follow and the youtube video really helped. It is beautiful and working up rather quickly for a larger piece. (Larger for me anyway lol)
Very nice pattern
I love the pattern but I have questions about the pattern, the row numbers are skipped can someone help.
The design of this shawl is lovely and I cannot wait to make one.
The design of this shawl is lovely and I cannot wait to try it out.
Straight forward directions, easy rows to memorize.
Loving this pattern, I found Chanti on YouTube and started watching her videos and then found her website with her yarns, I am totally in love with the yarns and colors, I think I have spent a small fortune on yarns since I found her site :) Her Patterns are easy to follow and if you need help there are a ton of videos on her youtube to help with almost anything you need.
great video instructor
I've only briefly worked with the pattern...so far it seems easy enough to follow. I'm only practicing for when my REAL YARN arrives!!

I have learned to knit Portuguese style due to hand inflammation. Would you knit a beginner scarf/shawl with more advanced stitches in this style. I know how to yarn over (very easy in Portuguese style.
I was very happy
I’m making this for a dear friend. It is so beautiful. The wonderful thing about it is that it wraps around the shoulder and not the neck.
I bought yarn for this project today and I can't wait to try my hand at this beauty! It is a gorgeous work of art!
This is such a beautiful, and yet simple looking sweater that makes it a classic.
I love this pattern! As always, it is so very carefully written and explained.
Enjoy your patterns and yarn. This shawl is a delight and will be a wonderful Christmas present for my granddaughter.
I got this for a friend in the hopes she will get her knitting mojo back. I really like the pattern so I am hoping she will too. Thank you very much for the free pattern.
Looking forward to knitting this shawl pattern.
I've just started this pattern, but it is working up nicely. While the finished product looks like you've done a lot of work, the pattern is really rather simple, I think. I'm really enjoying making this.
Just started this lovely shawl using Azalea Oasis Fingering. Stay tuned

Love this shawl so pretty, planning to start soon
Great patter, very simple, but looks complex! The colour changes work beautifully in the pattern.

A very easy knitting. You can watch TV and knit! Love the pattern. Thanks
I absolutely love the patterns and have made a few. They are so lovely and look so good when finished.
love it. easy pattern to follow,
I haven't been able to do it yet.
Very pretty and very easy. I like that it's mostly knit. It goes much faster. No finished yet. It is a little confusing when to start the lace but I figured it out.
This pattern is simple yet beautiful. The lace breaks up the garter stitch and provides enough interest to feel a bit more sophisticated than a plain garter stitch pattern. This is one to showcase a beautiful yarn.
This is a very simple, yet beautiful pattern. It is repeatable enough to do if you are multitasking. The lace requires a bit more focus, but is still simple enough to do while watching TV or listening to a podcast.
I haven't knitted it yet but looking forward to it.
I can't wait to knit this. It's gorgeous, and with the online tutorials and videos, I'm sure it will be a fabulous pattern
