Oasis Fingering
This yarn is so soft and light, shining and very fine for knitting. I made a wonderful schawl. It is beautiful. Thank for it!
Oasis Fingering Yarn
This is the most beautiful yarn. It is 50% camel and 50% mulberry silk. I think it’s the softest yarn I have ever used. I am already half done with my project. The yarn feels soft as air and is just flying off my needles. I love it!
My new favorite yarn
I just got done making a prayer shawl for a friend out of this beautiful, cream colored Camel Silk, using the Quietude shawl pattern. It turned out gorgeous! Au Lait Camel Silk + Quietude was an absolutely perfect pairing, and I think the Camel Silk is my new favorite yarn. It will definitely be in first consideration for all my projects that require fingering weight yarn in the future. It's soft, shimmery, beautiful, and works up like butter. Perfect for the garments that have to be extra special. However, a word to the wise: wind it into some kind of an "outside-pull" form. The camel hair is very fine but also a bit fuzzy, like mohair. It's so fine it's not easy to see the "fuzziness", but if pulled from the center from a ball or a cake, the fibers can stick together and tangle. When I first started trying to use this yarn, I had center pull cakes, and got myself into a real mess. However, EFA fantastic customer service saved me from catastrophe, and I was able to complete my project after starting fresh by winding around a carboard tube and using a spindle-type set up. Thanks again to the wonderful EFA team for all your help, advice, and the beautiful, beautiful textiles!
Wonderful texture
I'm gradually working my way through all of EFA's yarn bases and the oasis fingering might be my favorite so far. It's a very luxurious and silky yarn with just a hint of soft fuzzing, wonderful to the touch, and very satisfying and easy to work with; less splitty than pearlescent fingering (which I also love). The Au Lait color is very nice and uniform and a great cream color.
Oasis Fingering Yarn
Absolutely perfect! So soft and lightweight with the perfect warmth and drape for a summer wedding in Greece. The 'Au Lait' is creamy and the perfect white for a bride in a satin sheath dress. Can't wait to finish the project.
