YARN - Superwash Merino Wool Silk Pearlescent Worsted - (50:50) Smooth with a gorgeous gleam
Sure to be a favorite!
MERINO WOOL is ultra soft, creamy to the touch, cloud-like and breathes so you stay comfortable and cozy. We had these spun with a very fine merino wool so it's incredibly soft and wonderful for next-to-skin accessories and garments. It has a lovely stretch and "memory" so it's a breeze to create hats, mittens, sweaters, socks, boot toppers, blankets and virtually anything else you'd need some elasticity and bounce for.
MULBERRY SILK is a dream... it glows and gleams and takes the dye so well, that the colors just pop like crazy. It also contributes to the lovely softness.
~When you combine these two fibers into a single ply yarn like this, you get subtle differences in tone as the wool and silk take the dye slightly differently. The colors truly appear to be iridescent and other-worldly.
•1-ply : For ultra shimmer and glow!
•Worsted Weight: Ideal for next-to-skin accessories or sweaters, sweet baby items, blankets and so much more. Great for all skill levels, even beginners as it's a popular worsted weight thickness.
•Superwash Merino Wool - Mulberry Silk blend (50% of each) - hand-wash only for best results. Super soft like buttah, with a shine that just won't quit.
•Yardage: 201 m/ 220 yd
•Weight: Approximately 115 g / 4 oz
•Recommended Knitting Needle Size: US 6-10

Note: Each skein is a hand-created, unique work of art and no two skeins will be identical, even within the same dye lot. If working with more than one skein in a project, it is best to alternate skeins every other row. Despite every effort to accurately depict our product colors, actual shades may vary due to differences in monitor settings.

Baked Apples
Ohh I forgot there is no place to add an image. Between the description and image,. I was somewhat disappointed. What I received was very muted or muddied - almost none of the lovely pinks, lavender, goldens, caramels, or orange. Mostly just a muddied purple brown. Rather than returning it, I went ahead and began a mostly seed stitch scarf. It is lovely yarn - shimmery and soft, with a nice little bounce. a knot turned out to be a broken and retied portion, but I was able to hide rejoining my pattern. Bottom line, I would have liked it to have more of the coloring on the website, but it is still a luxurious yarn. If you ever have snippets of those lovely colors, you are welcome to send them my way. ;o) Be nice to have a little autumn pop in my scarf.
