SKILL LEVEL:
Adventurous Beginner - This pattern is for those knitters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Stitches include simple lace stitches and basic seaming.
Notes from the Designer:
Knit in two identical pieces pattern-wise, this airy top is accented with a simple, lace stitch yoke. Switch things up by swapping the colors on one piece, and you can change the direction you wear it for a different look. Customize it even further in the assembly: begin the side seams a couple of inches above the hemline to create side vents, or stitch the front and back pieces together from the very edge for a solid bottom border. Seam the shoulders from the neckline to the outer edge, or create peek-a-boo vents by stitching together just an inch or two at the neckline and outer edge, leaving the rest of the top edge open.
- Click the Videos tab to watch a tutorial on how to knit the yoke.
-
If you opt to make the front and back panels without reversing colors as shown, you may need to purchase an additional skein of your body color to ensure adequate yardage.
-
Gauge is crucial in this pattern to ensure fit. Note that the unblocked stitch gauge is significantly different from the blocked stitch gauge because the purl stitches draw in the width like ribbing in the body stitch pattern before blocking.
-
To increase the overall length, work additional rows of the body section. The body and yoke should meet approximately 1 inch above the bustline. Increasing the length will increase the yardage requirements.

I just started knitting this pattern and had to stop cause my yarn finally came for the MKAL blanket. Right know I'm giving it 3 stars, but that could change as I continue working on it.

I haven't finished my project but so far the pattern is easy to follow.
Point Horizon is so beautiful
The pattern is simple to follow and the garment turns out so pretty. The lace section is easy to memorize as you work the rows. You can also modify the lace length with ease or even turn this into a tank top easy enough as well. It's quite enjoyable.

I am presently knitting this from stash. I purchased two skeins of pearlescent fingering about 7 years ago and am knitting this top from it. I cannot remember the colour name but will post a photo of the completed project on Instagram when it is finished. I’m over halfway there. The pattern is very easy to follow.
Ephemeral Fingering
What a wonderful yarn! Extremely soft and so shiny! Can’t wait to use it.

I absolutely love this pattern! It's simple enough for me yet very stunning. This is the first actual garment I've ever made. I have yet to attempt socks or sweaters, those patterns intimidate me. But when I saw this pattern I knew that I could do it. You definitely can't watch TV and knit the lace part but it's still very simple stitches that end up becoming a beautiful garment.
