I was SO excited to finally decide to splurge on all the necessary Alpaca Silk DK to knit the Worth Wrap! These skeins are not cheap, let’s be honest, but they looked sooooo wonderful! The product is, however, disappointing. The colors are very muted compared to the pictures found on the web site. This is still good yarn, but I would not have bought it had I seen it beforehand. This comment applies especially to Botanical and Alps. Mystic Topaz is fine. Ghost of Change too.
Fabulous color and feel, plan on making the Worth wrap soon!
I love the Alpaca Silk Dk in botanical I received in the mail. My skein was a little muted in color compared to the picture but it will work with the Worth Wrap that I am making this winter, hopefully.
I love the colors and how so soft it is. My skein was more muted in color than the picture but will work for the Worth Wrap that I plan to make.
The yarn is very soft and the texture is even and just what you would expect from an alpaca silk blend. However, the color was not even close to the pictures on the website - much more muted and drab. I was very disappointed and am having trouble working up enthusiasm for a project with it.
Wonderful colors! My three skeins had different tones, with two cool and one warm, so I requested an additional cool toned skein to adapt my design using the warm as a contrast. Every communication was promptly answered telling how to make the request. Thanks to all. My shawl will be gorgeous!
Oh my, this skein is absolutely stunning! One of the most beautiful creations I’ve ever seen....very happy I purchased this!!
This yarn is utterly amazing, so so soft, with only a tiny bit of halo from the alpaca and great shine, but not TOO shiny, from the silk. The fabric has gorgeous drape on size 8 needles. Having said all that, the COLOR! Good God, this color! It was gorgeous in the skein, MORE spectacular once caked, but knit up?! I want pillow cases...sheets...all my clothes...EVERYTHING with this! Well done, as always!
