Notes From the Designer:

Ciottolo is an Italian word for pebbles or cobblestone. The colors of the cardigan, as they fade into each other, and the brick stitch used throughout the garment reminds me of an old cobblestone road. This delightful cardigan is worked with CashSilk Sock yarn for an extra bit of warmth and luxury. Working stitches into the front loops and into rows below, like you would a spike stitch, provides beautiful surface texture. It is worked in panels and then seamed together before adding the sleeves, trim, and buttons.

Finally Made It
5 Stars

This was the first pattern that brought me to EFA beautiful yarns and patterns. Although it was the colour way that drew me to the pattern, I have actually made it in the Blaze Hues Twisted Tweed Sport…oh my goodness! I love, love, love it. The fact the sleeves are grown on and made in the round, made this pattern SO easy, if you always have problems with neat seams in garments. My only warning would be, when you soak to then block a LOOOOT of red dye comes out of the twisted tweed. Scary but still cardy still has a vibrant vintage colour. Thanks EFA

Well written pattern overall. As a left-handed person, I attached color C for the front trim to the very bottom of the left panel of the cardigan instead of the right as I liked the join better.

Beautiful pattern!! The colourway sold it to me. I really want to get this right before I buy yarn. So been practising swatches. And really pleased how easy to follow it is (on the straight anyway) and you quickly fall into the rhythm without needing to refer to the pattern
