NEEDLES:
US size 15 (10.0 mm) 24" circular needles or whatever size cable desired to accommodate the number of stitches
Adjust needle size to obtain an accurate gauge.
SKILL LEVEL:
Adventurous beginner: Skills/concepts include working in the round, two-color ribbing and two basic decrease stitches.
Notes From the Designer:
Keep it cozy with a thick, sumptuous cowl. Create rich texture with two-color ribbing worked in the round. With a larger circumference at the shoulders and a smaller circumference at the head, this subtle cone shape is reminiscent of the beautifully striated, conical shells of conasprella sea snails.
- Click the Videos tab to learn how to knit the cowl.
- To adjust the cowl, you may add or subtract in multiples of 4.
- As you decrease, you may find it easier to adjust to a smaller cord length.
- You can BO using knit sts, Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off, or in pattern, as you prefer.

I ordered the wool and I am waiting to receive it (it is really long and expensive for UPS, which is not the fault of the trader) to be able to do it and test this superb wool

I was very happy to learn this new technique! I think I'll try to make it as a collar (it might be more suitable here in Israel...) The color and yarn are pecial too. You're so full of surprises!

Thank you so much for this lovely pattern. The pattern is easy to read and follow. This project is on my needles with about 25 rows left to complete. I chose to knit it in black with a slubbed off-white/beige contrasting color; reminiscent of a Victorian ruff and quite eye-catching. Don't be surprised if you see a few new subscribers; several in my knitting group and jonesin' to knit this. Thank you again!
