This pattern is designed for use with 1 skein of our Superwash Dewy Dk yarn in colorway: Plum Blossom. You can also use our Alpaca Silk Dk.
Size : 9.5” long x 3.75” (measured at the flip top, after blocking)
You'll need US Size 8 (5.00 mm) circular needles (32” for magic loop) or double pointed needles
Why These Mittens are so Cool!
•I love a good flip-top mitten but wanted to design something unusual. These don't flip down, they flip out and to the side!
•Using just one skein of Dk weight yarn, you'll have these whipped out in no time.
•These are adventurous beginner/intermediate level and you may learn a few new stitches, like LLinc, RLinc and twisted rib.
•Each mitten is identical, so once you've made the first one, just repeat for the second.
•The size can be adjusted if you have long fingers and want these longer... just knit more rows in the seed stitch section.
•I hope you love these converti-mitts!

Great pattern! Thank you, Chandi and team!
Thank you for the pattern, I did not knit them yet. But they're on my list
I enjoy the quality patterns Expression Fiber Arts makes available. These mittens are a great project I can work on and are practical in our cold climate. Chandi's yarns are beautiful with collections that are classic, trendy and crazy! I hope to try convertimittens in one of her exquisite dewy yarns soon!
Converti-mitts knitted mitten review
This pattern was well-written and easy to understand. The only recommendation I have is to use a tail to weave in the whole between the thumb and hand. Good idea to have an opening for the index finger and thumb. I might lower the thumb opening to the first or second round of the thumb to allow for better coverage when the hole is not in use. I plan to make several of these.
1 skein mittens
This pattern is exactly what I am looking for. well written and easy to follow
I haven’t made these yet but I like the flip-out to the side design. Very innovative.
