This pattern is designed for use with 2(2,3) skeins (4 oz, 220 yards each) of our Pearlescent Worsted yarn in colorway: Berry Freeze. Choose any color you like, though. You'll need a US Size J hook (6.00 mm).
Sizes include: S(M, L) - 19-21(21-23, 22-24)" Circumference. Shown in Size S.
Cowls and hats are important pieces of your wardrobe during cold weather season if you want to be warm. I love being warm and wear a lot of cowls and hats. I also like convertible items with multiple uses. I designed this cowl to be a hat as well.
The Berry Freeze colorway that I used for the design reminded me of Cranberries and Ice Cream so I named the cowl Cranberry Cream. YUM! In keeping with this Cranberry Cream theme, I chose a crossed cluster design for the center section to resemble cranberries.
Is it a Cowl? Is it a Hat? Good news! It's both.
•A fun convertible pattern that is very stylish and quick to make.
•Whimsical pom poms attached to a crocheted i-cord add a bit of interest as well as functionality.
•Simple stitches mixed with some advanced stitches make this a good pattern for adventurous beginners.
•Crochet I-Cord instructions are included... you can also use a knitted I-Cord, Ribbon, Shoestring, or whatever you have on hand. Yardage used includes the making of the I-Cord and the pom poms.
•Simple pom pom instructions are also included.

Enjoy your crocheting!
I tried multiple times to get gauge.... I used the correct size hook and can get the width every time, but height... no way. 10 rows of single crochet just are NOT 4 inches! Not even doing the stitches as a lifter (golden loop method). To make gauge each sc has to be just over 1/3 of an inch tall..... I was so looking forward to making this hat/cowl :(
It is a wonderful, easy-to-read pattern and the finished product is marvelous.
I like that we can use it differentsways
I love this hat! Just adorable & cute. Very youthful.
It's a beautiful project, however I've already ripped it out 3x because I can't seem to get the stitch count right. I'll keep trying. Once I figure it out, it will be worth it!
Just loved thus pattern. Easy and fun to make. I used my Watermelon Yarn.
Cute idea 4 in 1 cowl can't wait to make it.
Super cute and easy to work up. I used the Unicorn Breath Superwash and a deep purple Superwash for some color blocking action, and it turned out great. Remember to count stitches as you go. It was a quick and fun project!
It's a cute idea, pattern work up is good. Make sure to count your stitches. Would have preferred a stretchier ribbing around the base of the hat. Also would have liked clear sizing recommendations.
Loved this pattern, worked up very nicely, was easy to understand and read, can't wait to work up again.
Very pretty, hope to make it soon
