Have crocheted a practice hat, it’s coming along very nicely. Ordered yarn from Chandi but it’s in transit, I’m sure it will be gorgeous when I’m done with the yarn I picked!

My sister saw it and gave me a wink-wink -with cute hat - guess I'll be making a few of them.

Having trouble with it
5 Stars

On round 8 where we "maintain" the body of the hat, I am confused by the sc/dc switching. I started round 8, which begins with a dc (hope that is right). I ended round 8 with a sc. So, I would do another sc to start the next row? It doesn't seem to be an exact science to switch between sc and dc (they should be the opposite of the stitch below, according to the pattern). Hope this makes sense and someone can help me! I love the hat and want to finish. Thank you! Heidi Day

I LOVE! This hat and pattern!

This pattern is incredibly easy to read. I used 2 strands of Vanna's Glamour to make my first Emma hat and had no issues other than I crochet very tightly so I needed to change hook size. It looks FABULOUS. And it was so quick to work up!

Beautiful Hat

I made this hat for my daughter who was taking her first plane trip to London. She wore it to the airport and through the flight and looked so stylish. The pattern is very easy, fast and I used Elegy Dewy DK . What a beautiful hat to travel in!

Very cute and stylish hat, easy to follow pattern

Just finished crocheting the "Emma Hat". It was a pretty straight forward patter to read. I don't have any of the fabulous skeins from Expressions Fiber Arts, yet!..... So I used what I had on hand. I need to get some DK skeins. So until then, I think when I make another hat, I'll go a size down in hook. Mine came out a bit big. It was a fairly quick project, I completed the pattern in 2 days ( but I'm a quick crocheter). Can't wait to make some more in some lovely colors. Now just need to get my hands on some of the gorgeous yarn!.

Lovely hat!

Very Pretty Hat

The pattern itself is easy to follow. It works up quickly and the stitches lay nicely. My hat didn't turn out the way the picture looks naturally. I didn't like the way my brim turned out so I reduced it down to about 3 or 4 rows, left the button as an accent but did not make the loop to go around the button. It just didn't look good. Other than that, the pattern was good and I like the way the hat looks now!

Really cute beanie
