Flâner is French for “walking aimlessly enjoying the simple pleasures of life." For me, the simplest of pleasures is a stroll through nature carrying my favorite book and finding a comfortable place to sit and read.
I wanted this crochet tank top design to be comfortable for a walk in the warmer summer temperatures, so I chose a simple "knit look" with alternating rows. To keep with the simplistic styling, I kept the basic tank top shape and added a simple trim along the armholes and the neckline. The bottom has a slight flare to add a bit of interest to the body. The alternating rows allow for altering in length, making it easy to turn this tank top into a sundress if you desire.
A perfect design for a trip to the beach or a stroll through the woods!

Lovely...excited to make it!
I ordered the pattern for my granddaughter who has taken up crochet this summer. I am encouraging her to branch out in her selection of patterns. So, I ordered this pattern for her.
Instructions are well written and easy to follow. I love the simplistic style!
I love the simplicity of this top. Perfect for beginners. Hard to choose which colour to use.
Love the pattern, putting it on my to do (make) list
The pattern is written using terminology I understand. Yeah! I can visualize how beautiful the Flaner Tank Top would be in a number of colours!
Haven't made it yet but have read the pattern. Very thorough and well-written.
