Granny squares have been around for ages. I didn’t invent the pattern, but this is my version.
Granny squares are fantastic because they are quick, easy to memorize and you can make an unlimited number of items with them: blankets, scarves, purses, pot holders, and loads more.
In the pattern, I use sport weight yarn but any combination of yarn thickness and hook size will work, so long as you like the look they produce when used together.
Have fun whipping out squares!
