YARN: 3 skeins (4 oz, 395 yards each) Expression Fiber Arts Luster Superwash Merino Tencel Sport yarn. Shown in colorway: Boston at Night. If that colorway isn't available, any shade from this category will work. Fingering weight would make a great option too.
SIZE: 17 inches wide and 62 inches long before joining.
HOOK: US Size H (5.00 mm)
Notes From the Designer:
•Poncho is worked flat from bottom up as one piece and then seamed together at shoulder.
•Pattern includes chart for center stitch pattern.
•Uses 3 skeins of Expression Fiber Arts Luster Tencel Sport yarn and a size H/8 (5.0mm) crochet hook.
•Quick and simple pattern that is perfect for beginners wanting to expand their crochet and chart reading skills.
•Boho style and light weight make it a perfect accessory for cooler nights.
I am fascinated with the popular boho ponchos that contain simple styling with just one shoulder seam and are easy to wear in multiple ways. The rectangular shape worked lengthwise makes it a quick project to crochet and wear on those evenings when the air is cooler.
My inspiration for the design is the Gulf Coast with its astonishing diversity of wildlife, amazing array of plant life, beautiful white beaches, and clear water. Up until just a few years ago, I had never seen the ocean. Once I was able to see the ocean and actually put my feet in the water, I fell in love. There is a certain sense of peace you get when watching the waves roll in and feeling the soft breeze on your face coming from the water. The shell pattern that I used as the main focal point of this design resembles the rolling waves.
Erratum: Pattern is a repeat of 8+10. Ch 308 so you can work across 306 sts throughout.

Love your patterns and the beauty of your site. Gorgeous colors. However, I would love it if you could include charts as well as written instructions. I've been crocheting since I was 12 (73 now), so I can read crochet instructions lie a pro, but I've discovered that charts are invaluable when figuring out a particularly difficult stitch or for easy pattern checking. I use them whenever they are available.

Sounds like a 2022 project for summer... Or a spring-autumn project? It's so cute!

Love this pattern, just started today with stash Azul Profundo Malabrigo worsted. I live in Uk so unable to buy your beautiful yarns. Taxes and Duties are scary but next year we will be off to visit our son in Michigan so saving up. I love all your crochet patterns.

This is really nice once it is all put together and I chose a color combo that goes super well with denim (which I live in). I live in the Puget Sound so we tend to layer around here, and this is perfect for that type of weather. It is a simple pattern and took no time to put together. Love it!

I made 3 of us these for each of my young adult daughters. They can't wear wool so I substituted Scheepjes Washed. These look great with jeans or are nice enough for a chilly office. The assymetrical shape makes poncho look more up to date.
Easy And Beautiful!
This is my first big pattern to follow, and I found it very well written and easy to do. I completed my poncho and it’s blocking now. I can’t wait to wear it!

Looking forward to making this poncho. Was on the lookout for a poncho which did not have a V in front. This pattern is lacy and beautiful.
