Very easy pattern. Worked up fast and turned out pretty!

Made for a special, life-time friend battling cancer and using sport weight yarn rather than the DK called for, C/O 162; decreased to 161 after twisted rib. Increased cable repeats to three; stockinette to 6". Lovely self-striping yarn; soft to the touch and washed up nicely with a little bleed. Would likely increase body to 7" for anyone with loads of hair (like me); finished size 7-1/2" x 20". Although none of the iPhone photos do this yarn justice, this is my favorite project of 2018 so far. Update 03/12/18: Recipient reports hat is a little too shallow for her taste. Note to self: stockinette to 6-1/2" before starting decrease.

I have worked about 3 of them now and really like them. Works up very nicely. I'm a novice at knitting, no expert and this hat worked up easily and pattern is very easy to read.

Just received this Headband Hat pattern and still going through stash to decide what color to knit. The pattern looks very simple, even a beginner could knit it. Thanks for this free pattern.
