------------------------------------------------------------
My inspiration for this hat design was the yarn itself. The Alpaca Silk yarn is so soft and cuddly and I wanted the hat to have the same feel. I chose a simple repeating stitch pattern to create some texture while maintaining the soft and cozy feel of the yarn. To complete the design, I chose to use a simple folded brim styling that would hug the wearer gently.

I'm at experienced level and sizes are vastly inaccurate. I made a small adult and it was extremely large. It was even too big for my husband who has large head. Very disappointed

I have recently used this pattern to make children's chemo caps for a local charity. I've been using up a variety of light weight yarns left from larger projects. This pattern works up quickly, easily and beautifully in yarns ranging from fingering to DK. It has a wonderful texture making it a distinctive departure from the usual "beanies" I see donated to this charity. Thanks!
Doable pattern!
Although I mostly knit, this looks like something I can do!
