Notes from the Designer:
Laconic: using or involving the use of a minimum of words, concise; the implication of richness of meaning or substance though brief. The Laconic cowl is exactly that, rich in color and texture, though exceedingly simple in construction and effort. This trapezoid-shaped, long cowl consists of a basic 1x1 ribbed edging, narrow stockinette sections, and wider patterned sections with the simplest of stitches.
- Total approximate yds/m used for this sample: 662 yds/605 m (C1: 189 yds/173 m, C2: 154 yds/141 m, C3: 147 yds/134 m, and C4: 172 yds/157 m).
- Stitches are slipped knit-wise.
- Gauge is not critical but could affect the overall size, fit, and yardage.
- Carry unused colors loosely on inside of work. Only break colors when directed, leaving a sufficiently long tail to weave in at finish (approximately 4”/10 cm).
