Notes From the Designer:
•Design ideas come to me from different places. Sometimes a memory, sometimes a color combination, and sometimes the characteristics of the yarn itself inspire me. When a yarn has a slight bit of shine, I like to keep the stitch patterns simple, letting the different play of light on the knit and purl stitches take center stage.
•The boomerang shape of this shawl makes it very easy to wear, staying snug on your shoulders. The shape also allows for simple adjustments to create a smaller or larger version. The pima cotton blend yarn makes it lightweight, soft and comfortable. Basic knit and purl stitch combinations make it a fairly easy pattern to knit. I hope you love it!

After several months of work, I completed the Laiken shawl. It's absolutely beautiful, and the pattern instructions were pretty clear. My only gripe is I spent an hour losing my mind over R324 because the stitch count was one off. This seems to occur because of the 3rd to last instruction, i.e., K4. I fixed the one off by going back to the K4 instruction and did K3 instead.
Beautiful pattern. Thank you!
Just finished this, easy to follow, but there is an error on row 324, there are 172 stitches in the row but the directions given add up to 173.
Planning to do this soon in a shorter format - I like the border pattern on this asymmetrical shawl and the way it is pronounced by the two lighter coloured bands The changing stitches makes it interesting to knit.
I love this shawl. Beautiful. At first glance i was intimidated by the different patterns used in the shawl. Reading through the written pattern explained it all so well. Concentration is required and pattern is well understood.
Beautiful pattern. Can hardly wait to start it!!
Beautiful shape of shawl with great combination of colors.
Looks too complicated ! But may adapt it for a shawl in fingering yarn I have - project kit yet started
Have not started but looks fun and pretty.
Such a lovely shawl with excellent directions!
I have not yet started this project, but I am sure it will be as lovely as other projects made with this brand yarn
I have not yet started this product, but like all previous projects with this company’s yarns, it is lovely to work with.
Have nearly finished the first colour,so addictive, can't put it down!!
Another simply stunning design. Reading through the pattern i see I'll get to learn new techniques but the pattern is written in such a way it will be easy to know what to do.
Haven't made it yet.
I like the different kind of knitting on this pattern Have a good day
A beautiful shawl
