Notes From the Designer:

Inspired by my first home: Alaska.

Winters in Alaska can be brutal. Extremely dark and cold and often very isolated and lonely. But when you make it through and the lakes begin to break up, the snow starts to melt, the sun gets higher and higher in the sky each day... Ahhhh. It's a time of transition and hope and excitement for the spring and summer ahead!

This Melting Transitions wrap is designed to mimic that feeling of hope and renewal.

•A gorgeous and easy knitted shawl pattern, based on seed stitches and wedges. This pattern can use virtually any type of yarn, but is especially great for hand-spun or gradient yarns or fade kits.

•It's a very enjoyable pattern as you don't need to know exact yardage. You just knit wedges until you're happy or until you run out of yarn. Woo!

•You will notice that all the wedges are nearly identical, with only a minor difference for the first and last wedge. You can adjust the width of a wedge by casting on an odd number of sts greater than 19.

•Click the Videos tab to watch a tutorial of this pattern! You'll learn to how to get started with the shawl and work up through row 9.

Great

Sincere Sock
5 Stars

I am knitting a shawl with Country Village Sincere Sock Yarn. The shades of aqua, white, touches of light brown, a dot of medium pink here and there are lovely. the yarn is a joy to work with and is superwash marino wool and nylon. Has 437 yds so a shawlette or a little larger will work.

Rating a 4 only because I haven't tried the pattern yet. Looking for a gradient worsted weight yarn. The colors I like are not the correct yarn. Chandi, I'm anxious to see what yarns/colors you have been working on! More please!

Easy to follow pattern and one of a kind scarf
5 Stars

The pattern is incredibly easy to follow and it really doesn't take very long to knit the whole scarf. Another plus is that it doesn't take that much yarn so it's great to use any leftover yarn from a previous project. The end product is amazing!

sentimental value and gorgeous

this was the 1st pattern i did with short rows that weren't added to an edge. Chandi told me just what you-tube to see to set me on the path. the scarf is so lovely, elegant and Reversible. also, it was less time consuming than some scarves can be. it is a favorite pattern for me to use many times. enchantee

Loving the style.
5 Stars

This is a pattern that has style. Depending on the yarn, this could be wore with dressy or casual. I have some gradient yarn that I'd love to knit up in this pattern and I would love to use some of my hand spun. It just looks like a great pattern. I haven't had time to use it yet, but it won't be long.

Everythin I Could hope for!!

I am writing a review about "Peacock Feather"! It is the most amazing fibre I have ever seen, and as I have a Peacock Feather on hand cannot believe how you have managed to get the intensity of colours blended with the gold, they are absolutely perfect. Maybe I sound a bit like a raving "mad woman" but the colours are so vibrant, exactly like the feather, makes me wish I had purchased more, although I don't know what I would do with it because I am finding it quite hard to rewind it because I may spoil the imagery. Congratulations! I love, love, love it!!

Very pretty
4 Stars

I have admired this pattern since it was posted. I haven't had time to make it. It looks a little more difficult than I expected, but that's fine. We all need to stretch our talents. I have several Color shifting spectrum yarn. The only problem is choosing which one to use. I would recommend this to others because it is a very pretty pattern.

Great Pattern

I really love this scarf. I'm working on it now and I just can't pass by it without working a few rows. Can't wait till it's finished.

I am long time knitter with elementary skills. This pattern was very easy with a little online help for stitches I was not familair with. But there are are only 2 or 3 and they are EASILY learned and easy to remember. It is amazing how simple knitting stitches in a different order can produce such an unusual finished product. I recommend it!! and hope to get a few made for gifts. very doable.
