SIZES: S/M, (L/XL, 2XL/3XL)/60", (70", 80") at widest circumference. Approximately 13" length from shoulder to hem. Hood measures approximately 12" height. Both hood and body length are easily adjustable. Sample shown in size S/M.
MATERIALS: 5, (6, 7) skeins of Expression Fiber Arts Buttery Bulky yarn (120 yds/110 m). Shown in colorway: Ballad. If that color isn't available, any shade from this category will work.
NEEDLES: US Size 10 (6.0 mm) 32" circular needles or longer to accommodate the large number of sts at the beginning, plus a smaller circumference needle in the same size for the neck and hood. Needles appropriate for a three-needle BO, if you don't already have them.
Notes From the Designer:
•Knit in the round from the bottom up, this capelet is worked in one piece, starting with a large number of stitches at the hem and tapering to a closer fit towards the shoulders before working the hood.
•The simplicity of the stockinette body provides a great background for variegated yarns, or pick a bold solid or semi-solid to stand out on those drab, overcast winter days. The seed stitch border at the bottom hem and around the hood adds some variety without detracting from the overall effect.
•When working with hand-dyed yarns, remember to alternate skeins every couple of rounds to avoid major color pooling.

I have been looking for a pattern for my Godmother. She is 92 years young and continues to sew; her head gets cold and I think this caplet will simply work well for her. I just now need to choose a color (can other bulky yarns be used?) Thanks Chandi P.S. You are so artistic, I love your paintings. Be blessed and stay safe. ☺️
This pattern is what I have been looking for. Can't wait to get started!
Love the look of the knitted capelet. I want to make it for spring.
I got really excited when I saw “Mina”. Is there an alternative crochet pattern? Thank you so much!
