Moose 'TWISTED TWEED' SPORT

$29.50

MOOSE - our October animal of the month colorway! I grew up in Alaska and seeing moose in parking lots and walking down the street or traipsing across your yard is a common occurrence. They are massive and majestic and such a wonder! Please note, this color is difficult to dye and varies quite a bit from batch to batch. Please only order if you are okay with the color being different than the photos shown.

•A heart-warming, twisted sport weight yarn with tweed flecks!

"TWISTED" TWEED SPORT YARN - a stunning, cozy blend of 2 types of wool spun into a cool barber pole effect. Flecked throughout are brown, gold and plum neps that don't take the dye, resulting in a soul-satisfying tweed look.

•2-plies twisted together (one ply is superwash, one is not), each taking the dye slightly differently = a unique twisted look.
•Bounce, softness and warmth - we chose beautiful, soft merino wool for this yarn which has a vibrant bounce, so your project will hold its shape.
•43% superwash merino wool, 42% fine merino wool, 15% donegal.
•This base has such an earthy, homey, charming feel. It can be dressed down and worn in the most casual of cozy settings or dressed up for elegant occasions. It's got a certain heirloom, heritage, yet hip, modern vibe to it.
•Sport Weight - makes for a great yarn for a variety of projects. Sweaters, shawls, scarves, hats, mittens, blankets and more.
•Hand-wash and air dry for best long-term results.
•Yardage: 351 m/384 yd
•Weight: 3.5 oz (approx. 100 g)
•Recommended Knitting Needle Size: US 3-5
•Crochet Hook Size D-F

Note: Each skein is a hand-created, unique work of art and no two skeins will be identical, even within the same dye lot. If working with more than one skein in a project, it is best to alternate skeins every other row. Despite every effort to accurately depict our product colors, actual shades may vary due to differences in monitor settings.

No dryer, period!
5 Stars

I bought this in Fools Gold but its the same product. I started it 2 months ago when we got quarantined so I named it my corona cardigan. I soaked it last night and as it was still pretty dripping wet this morning, I squeezed excess water and put it in the dryer for 10 min on gentle. Half of this yarn is supersede, so I thought why not? I pulled it out, still almost squeezable wet and the size of a small toddlers sweater. Just like that, 2 months shot. I feel like a big idiot. A stunned and speechless idiot. Superwash is new to me, still and even half Superwash is a big no for the dryer. Even wet. Don't dry this. I'll still buy more of these tweeds because they're beautiful and so nice to work with. I can't believe I did this.

Moose Tweed

WOW! This yarn is amazingly soft and I cannot wait to cast on my next project so I can use this. The colors far exceeded my expectations, to say this yarn is gorgeous is a complete understatement. I don’t usually purchase yarn sight unseen, and all I can say is that I’m over the moon thrilled with this purchase.
