Morning Dewdrop

$0.00

This pattern is designed for use with 1 skein each of Pink Elephant and Morning Dew Resilient Superwash Merino Wool Sock Yarn. 4 oz, 400 yd each (total of 8 oz, 800 yd needed for the pattern). If those colorways aren't available, any 2 skeins from this category will work.

Why This Shawl Rocks:

•It's a gradient, baby! You use 2 different colors of yarn and fade from one into the next. How cool is that? Or you can make the entire thing in a single colorway. Your choice.

•It has wee "dewdroplets" (yarn overs) throughout one edge of the pattern and the rest is quick and easy garter stitch.

It's a cross between a shawl and a scarf. If you're unsure if you'd actually wear a "real" shawl, this one basically looks like a scarf, so you're good to go by just wrapping it around your neck and heading out the door.

It can be worn in a variety of temperatures. It's sock yarn, so not as toasty as a thicker shawl or scarf would be. You can double it up if you want it warmer for those chilly months.

•Don't be surprised if it turns into your go-to accessory. Make one that matches most of your outfits and boom. Wear it with everything. Easy. Done.

It's a trapezoid shape! This is when geometry becomes fun.

•An excellent choice for variegated yarns. Or use solids. Oh, the endless options.

•No purling. Yup. An entire pattern without the purl stitch. If you struggle with that one, you're all set.

•For the price of a fancy coffee, you'll have a pattern that will provide hours and hours of enjoyment and you'll end up with a gorgeous item you can wear for years!

It uses size US 6 (4.0mm) circular needles (or long straights) and is great for advanced beginners and beyond. You'll need to know how to knit, knit 2 together, knit one front and back and yarn over.

You'll receive a digital file only (instantly downloadable as a PDF) and won't be shipped anything. Please allow a few minutes for the download link to be emailed to you. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, just log into your account on our site and you'll see your Completed Orders. From there, you'll find the download link.

Enjoy your knitting!

Beautiful scarf. In given color scheme can't think what it wouldn't go with. Clear concise instructions.

This seems like a well written pattern, and what little bit I have completed looks fantastic!

planning to do this with Astronomy & Antelope Canyon to let the purples blend together, while the contest goes from orange to grey.

Well written, lovely TV knit

I'm making this for my sister, and the pattern is well written and easy enough to memorize that it makes for great TV/public knitting (I find I want something I don't have to think too hard about for both those times). The only thing I did, was make my own charts, because I'm weird, but I also decided to try and make a scarf version of it. It's turning out really nice and I think for California weather it will be a lovely accessory that can be worn loose for looks and then bundled up for warmth later on in the evening. Thanks for making this pattern free Chandi!

Great pattern, nice wrap!

this was a good pattern for me to learn changing colors after each 2 rows. and slipping a stitch to begin each row. i made with EFA sock yarn Prismatic and Plush Peacock, so the orange and purple were in both. but color A had Yellow ; color B had Teal. There were literally inches of each color yarn left when shawl finished! this will be great for those days when one must sit in air conditioning, but it is hot outdoors. ( i snuck in some glitter thread, but i can't help myself on that)

Exquisite shawl

Choose a "quieter" yarn

Because I got excited, I started the project with some sock yarn that I had on hand, which was self-striping, but much busier than what Chandi used. So my pretty little eyelet pattern is kind of lost. On the good side of that though, when I mess it up, it isn't noticeable. So my test shawl is turning out great. The instructions are wonderful, and the next one will be with some of Chandi's yummy yarn.
