This pattern is designed for use with 2 skeins of our Resilient Sock Yarn in colorway: Powdery Plum. Choose any color you like, though.
You'll need US Size 4 (3.5 mm) 32” circular needles or larger (for accommodating the large number of sts).
Why You'll Love This Cowl:
•Whip out those wild colorways as this simple, yet striking pattern can handle it.
•So so so wearable. I mean... grab your coffee and your favorite book and pop this cozy cowl on. You're set for an amazing day, I say!
•Simple but not boring... the pattern shifts and changes just in time to keep your attention, without being too complex. Great for travel knitting or knit night.
Notes from the designer:
I love texture. I'm crazy about it, really. I've always been a tactile person; I need to touch and pet and squish things, and run my hands over them to feel the sensation of the texture across my whole palm, not just my fingertips. I don't like mindless knitting; I need my brain to stay engaged, even when I'm TV knitting. This cowl is all about my need for texture, while changing things up just often enough to stave off boredom. Just when you start to get bored with one texture, it's time to change it up! It's also about my love of shadow rib. I can't get enough of this stitch; I love it the way other knitters love garter stitch. It's simple to work, looks great on both sides, and can be used in a variety of pieces for varying effects. I like how it and the hedge pattern offset each other in this piece. Each section is separated by an easy cable repeat that works as a pillar to define each texture block. The name came from my love of the Japanese girl group Perfume and their song "Polyrhythm" (which can be heard on the Cars 2 soundtrack, or so I'm told). It's a love song about how our feelings keep circling in an endless loop until they finally reach their intended person. It seemed an appropriate name for an infinity scarf!

Polyrhythm cowl
I absolutely loved this gorgeous cowl and the texture in it. Planning to knit two of these, one for my daughter and one for my niece. Thank you, Chandi for the free pattern of this beautiful cowl. Furthermore, I love the drape we get in the objects if we follow the gauge.

at little hard for me to work. I have never done cable before. I have to take it slow. Pretty pattern.
polyrhythm knitted cowl
This is an amazing pattern, just spectacular enough to wear with anything, but easy to make and, as always, very clear pattern directions.
Cowl Pattern
Love this pattern! I did it in slightly heavier fibre from Expression Fibre Ats, but it came out really quite beautiful! I'm going to make another one once I find more yarn that I love!
