I love to travel! My favorite way to travel is by motor home. We have so many adventures, and I just love being able to stop and visit and explore the little towns as we drive. As we explore, it is so comforting to have a shawl that I can put over my shoulders to protect me from the breeze. I love that I can pop a tissue, a small souvenir, a shell or pebble in one of the pockets. It is comforting to have these little reminders of a fun, relaxing afternoon handy.
That is what this shawl embodies. The melodic repeats will put you in a calm, patient state of mind. As a beginner knitter, the ease of the pattern will help you build confidence and trust in your skills.

- The stitch used in this shawl is very stretchy when blocked. When blocking your project to your desired measurements, I recommend not overstretching the finished piece.
- I highly recommend making a test swatch, as the difference between unblocked and blocked dimensions can be 3-5” (7.5-12.5 cm).
- This pattern is made lengthwise.
