This pattern is designed for use with 1 skein of our Dewy Dk yarn in colorway: SOLITUDE. Choose any color you like, though. 1 skein is needed per hat. If making both sizes, you'll need 2 skeins.
HOOK: You'll need a US Size K (6.50mm) for body, US Size J (6.00mm) for edging.
SIZE : Teen/Adult (20-22" circumference, approx. 8" from crown to brim), Large (22-24" circumference, approx. 9" from crown to brim). Shown in size Large.
Notes From the Designer:
A simple cabled hat with a ribbed edging. Since there are 2 size options, you can make a set and match with your sweetie or bestie!
I tapped into my Irish heritage for this pattern and chose the Irish word, Sona, for the name. Sona (SUN-a) means Happy, Lucky, Fortunate, May Fortune Smile.
As I was creating this design, I often found myself smiling and thinking about how fortunate I am to be surrounded with happy and supportive people. The word Sona is included in a proverb that reflects the sense of fortune I have found. This proverb is roughly translated as "the lucky man waits for the lucky moment.”
My lucky or fortunate moment is now and I am enjoying being able to share that fortune through my designs.

I love this pattern! The hat is so cute.
love it !!
So excited about this pattern
Can't wait to start making this hat
I am looking forward to making this hat. The directions are clear and I like that it only takes one skein of yarn.
I immediately made this beanie after getting the pattern. It worked up easily, the directions were very clear, and the result was beautiful. I highly recommend this pattern!
cant wait to get started on this. looks great
Very well written pattern, easy to follow. Adorable hat. I used two strands of yarn since I am making hats for the homeless in my community so I had to play around a bit with rows, but it still worked out great. I will make others as gifts :-) Thanks for your generous heart!
Thanks for the freebie! Can't wait to make it.
