This pattern is designed for use with 3 skeins/colors of our Yak Silk Lace Weight yarn in colorways: Flight, Gulf and Seagull. Choose any colorways you like, though!
If using only 1 color, 1 skein will do the trick. Total yardage needed: 640 yards / 3.3 oz. If you crochet on the looser side or worry about running out, grab 2 skeins just in case.
Light-as-air Ripples of Gorgeousness
•An advanced pattern for those comfortable with crochet. If you're familiar with following patterns, you'll be fine. Just work each row as it comes up.
•Light-as-air! You'll barely feel like you're wearing anything. The lace weight really seems to float!
•A great challenge when you're bored with your current patterns. Each row is different. There are no repeats as I designed this row by row, not sure what it would end up being!
•Can also be made in fingering weight if you want more structure to your capelet.
•Ideal for multiple shades of solid yarn, but use 1 colorway if you like and opt for semi-solids or tonals. Soft variegates work too.
•You'll need a size G (4.00 mm) hook. You'll want to be comfortable with single, double and triple crochets, Dc2tog, Trc2tog, as well as chaining and slip stitching.
You'll receive a digital file only (instantly downloadable as a PDF) and won't be shipped anything. Please allow a few minutes for the download link to be emailed to you. Enjoy wrapping up in this luscious dream!
You may sell the items you make using my patterns. I just ask that you link back to my shop. Thanks!
Errata: Row 4 should read:
Row 4: *Ch 4. Sk 3 st. 1 sc in next st. Repeat from * until you are 2 sts away from the center ch 3. Ch 4. (1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc) in center ch 3 sp. **Ch 4. Sk 3 st. 1 sc in next st. Repeat from ** to end. Turn.
I'm working on this right now. Sure would be nice to have stitch counts at the end of the rows so I know I've got it right before I go onto the next row. I've had to rip out several times when my count was off.
I think this is quite a Lovely capelet. I am not as fond of crochet as I am of knitting, but this caught my eye. Lovely work, Chandi!
