Notes From the Designer:
Sulenkti is the Lithuanian word for bend. This shawl curves gently as it grows, which creates an effortlessly wearable shape. While you could make this shawl in just two colors, the simple pattern repetition shows off multiple colors beautifully. Select two colors that have a bit of contrast with each other, and then as you progress, deepen each color for a fade effect. Or just choose color combinations that make you happy! You never work more than one color at a time, and you only need to know one increase and one decrease stitch, in addition to knit, purl, and slip stitches, which makes this a perfect introduction to easy colorwork. Since you start at the tip, you can customize the size by working as many or as few repeats as you wish. Just work six rows in Garter stitch after any repeat of the Textured Stripes section, and bind off.

- Gauge is not crucial but could affect overall size and yardage.
- The stitch count increases by 1 stitch every right-side row. The decrease and increase stitches on wrong-side rows counteract each other, so the stitch count remains the same as the previous row. This creates the overall curved shape of the shawl.
- Carry the unused color loosely up the side.
