THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON - a blackened rainbow shade! Peeps of various colors poke through but the whole thing is soaked in black, resulting in a dark, sultry, mysterious look!
Everyone that sees and feels this yarn base LOVES it and exclaims how beautiful it is.
Shimmering and soft and ideal for virtually any type of accessory from head to toe.
Use it to make blankets too! And sweaters. Baby items would be awesome and super cute as you can machine-wash this yarn.

Note: Each skein is a hand-created, unique work of art and no two skeins will be identical, even within the same dye lot. If working with more than one skein in a project, it is best to alternate skeins every other row. Despite every effort to accurately depict our product colors, actual shades may vary due to differences in monitor settings.
I was very on the fence when I bought this yarn. The quality is beautiful, but I just wasn't feeling the color. It appeared to be almost a lustrous dark grey. However, I decided to try working with one hank, and as I started to work it up, it definitely looked better. My husband actually loved the color. I bought eight skeins, and yes, there is a lot of color variation to all the skeins, but that is whole point. I am using it for a C2C afghan, and I think it will be beautiful with all of the variation. However, if you are looking to use it for a sweater, you may want to choose another color. However, a shawl or some other item where color is not paramount would be lovely.
I have received 6 hanks and the colors where all different in each hank. Some had just gray and purple, a few had some traces of other colors and then one had heavy coloring spots. I know in hand dyed yarn you will have slight color variants but these are very noticeable.
I also thought there want much color variation to my skiens, I was seeing more dark colors. Then I turned a brighter light on and is gorgeous! I was working on it in the car and it's color popped mite in the sunlight, it's exactly what I wanted. It's a thinner yarn than is thought is be for sport yarn, but so soft. I'm using smaller than the recommended needles (1&2), but its turning out lovely!
Well-dyed, gorgeous yarn as always, but there wasn't much color variation in the skein that I received. It was more of a blue-gray base with a little bit of subtle black and purple than a real "blackened rainbow."
