Quick and easy pattern that works up super cute for a nice gift for my writer friend. Thanks Chandi!
This is a cute and simple pattern. What a terrific gift for someone.
This pattern is so easy I was working them up while watching television. Nearly finished, just in time for the cold front headed this way, can't wait to wear them!
As soon as I saw this pattern, I knew it was something to make for my daughter the writer, but also for myself while crocheting, needlework, quilting and one of my many other artistic forms of expression, for it gives you the warmth that you need without obstructing the fluid motion of your fingers.
I've made other wristlets before, but this pattern was very easy. I loved the texture of the yarn and it worked up very well. I feel that others will like this pattern as well as I. They were beautiful and fit well when done.
Such as it is in the last few years, most published patterns in the USA are created for circular or DP needles. I love to knit and have knit for 59 years (started at age 7) but find it increasingly harder and harder to find patterns other than scarves or belts to knit on straight needles. This is an adorable pattern, and I would love to knit it, but unfortunately, it went right into the Goodwill bag when I saw that it was not for straight needles. I am so tired of spending time converting circular patterns to straight and its really not worth the time. Think about it......
The instructions are clear and it's a great and fun thing to knit.
MADE THESE FOR GRANDDAUGHTER,S B -DAY AND SHE LOVES THEM . WEATHER IS GETTING COLD IN COLLEGE AREA AND THESE ARE THE FIRST THING SHE GRABS GOING OUT THE DOOR TO CLASS. THESE WILL BE CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR LOTS OF FRIENDS INCLUDING ME!
i have only completed one so far, but it worked up fast and looked great. i can't wait to do the other wristie! they will be great to wear on chilly days when i am knitting and not just writing!
I consider myself a new knitter although my knitting group tells me I can't claim that anymore; but, this pattern is easy and knits up quick. A great project for those who are new to knitting and want to expand their skills. Great for gift giving too!
Adorable little half gloves cute design and soft , warm and comfortable. Lynda
These were fun and easy to work up and fit well.
Have started this with 4 fewer stitches for a present to a texting teenager. I will be finished in just a few days of short sessions working on them. I am doing 2aat. Will use this pattern again for myself and gifts.
I love the look of these, but hate messing with dpns. So I opened up the patern and knitted them flat; I also made them longer, so I could leave a thumbhole when I sewed up the side seam -- voila! Fingerless mitts! Will be glad to provide instructions for making mitts if anyone wants them.
I am relatively new to knitting and I appreciate the clear instructions in this pattern. They truly are very useful items, especially with the predictions of another very cold, snowy winter for the North East. Thank you Chandi for your hard work on the Patterson and items that you make available.
The pattern is very well-written and easy to follow, and the results are beautiful, even in other yarns. I made these with my knook to give to my sister for her birthday, and I know she will love them! They have great texture and work up very quickly.
