This beautiful crochet pattern is designed with 2 skeins of Expression Fiber Arts Yak Silk Lace yarn (3.5 oz/680 yds per skein), shown in colorway: Freshwater Pearl. If that color isn't available, any shades from this category will work.

HOOK: US Size G (4.25 mm)
Notes From the Designer:
•Scarf/wrap is worked flat from bottom up.
•Gauge is not crucial to this project, but will affect yardage needed and finished size.
•Pattern features alternating sections of solid rows and simple lace.
•My inspiration for this pattern is the ocean. I have always had a fascination with the sea, particularly the way the waves roll onto the beach, smoothing the sand. To replicate this fascinating phenomenon, I used an alternating pattern of solid sections ‘the sand’ and lace sections ‘the waves’. Along with my fascination with the sea, I have always loved to learn about different cultures and languages. When thinking about and researching names for this design, I looked for unique words that would describe my fascination with the sea/ocean fully and came across the Swahili word for “the sea”, Bahari. I love the way the word just rolls off your tongue just like the waves rolling in from the sea. It reminds me of summer breezes and romantic walks.
