Notes from the Designer:
Versatile and beautiful, this shawl is knit with alternating sections of Garter Stitch and Horseshoe Lace. Knit from the top down using the Garter Tab Cast On method, Chances is a quick and simple knit shawl that is perfect for wrapping yourself in softness, while still being stylish enough for an evening on the town.
- The original version of this pattern was knitted with our Sincere Sock yarn and made with one skein of Beauty From Ashes Sincere Sock (MC) and one skein of Restored Sincere Sock (CC).
- The Yak Silk Lace version of this pattern uses two strands of the same color held together throughout. It is recommended to wind each skein into two equal-size balls that are connected in the center to get the most yardage from your yarn.
- Gauge is not crucial to this project, but will affect yardage and size.
- The length of the shawl can be adjusted by eliminating or repeating alternating sections. Additional Section Two repeats should always start on a row number ending in 9 (e.g., 39, 89, 119, etc.).
- Row count table and stitch charts can be found at the end of the pattern instructions. Half row counts do not include the center stitch or edge stitches.
