I've purchased several dozen skeins of Pearlescent Worsted, and New York at Night is by far one of my favorites. It's a stunning blend of deep blues and teals with a purple overtone, truly pearlescent. Also, the picture accurately depicts what the colorway looks like in real life, which can't be said for all of them.

This yarn is gorgeous, the photos are good but this yarn is even better in person. The subtle shifting tones and colours give enormous visual depth and texture and the colours are rich and saturated. Very soft yarn, the single ply is easy to split but it's well worth the little bit of extra care while knitting to have the drape and sheen of a single ply.

As always, the Pearlescent Worsted yarn is exceptional. But the colors? This one in particular is a must-have. The blues are so deep and true without the pesky gray hue that seems so prevalent in so many mass produced yarns. I am currently using it in a project with the Copper Worsted--gorgeous!

I must admit, it was the name of this yarn that first got my attention, and I'm so glad I bought it. Blue is my favorite color and any variation of it will be a winner for me. The color is gorgeous, rich and velvety, the yarn is so squishy and soft, I cannot wait to work with it. And shine, oh the shine...!
