Notes from the Designer:

The Starry Yoke is a top-down circular yoked sweater that uses at least two contrasting colors to create an eye-catching starry effect. Working with a single color at a time, this is one of the easiest colorwork sweaters you'll ever make. With a classic fit at the bust, short rows to raise the back neck, and long, tapered sleeves, this will quickly become one of the most comfortable yet stylish sweaters in your wardrobe! The pattern calls for sport weight yarn, but a heavier fingering weight may also be used for a breezier, more airy fabric to wear on hot summer days.

This is a circular yoke sweater worked from the top down in turned rounds, using a minimum of two contrasting colors to create the starry effect. The sweater features short rows to raise the back neck and long, tapered sleeves. The body and sleeve length are easily adjustable as you can try the sweater on as you go.

  • This pattern will be available on our website only for a limited time.
  • The pattern is written for 9 sizes as follows: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9). Highlight your size throughout the pattern so it’s easier to follow. If your size has two dashes (--) instead of a number, that instruction does not apply to your size.
  • Pattern uses standard US terminology.
  • The symbol * is used to mark the beginning of a repeat sequence.
  • CH-1 and CH-2 at beg of rows do not count as ST.
  • CH-3 at beg of rows counts as a DC.
  • Stitch counts are given in brackets at the end of the row/rnd and in the Round Trackers. If no ST count is given, it is the same as prev row/rnd.
  • MC and CC are carried vertically on the back side of your work. The pattern is written for a single color for each MC and CC.
  • For best results, at least one of the colors should be solid and consistent throughout the sweater.
  • This pattern includes written instructions, photo tutorials, schematics, and stitch count tables.
